I've had these boots for a year. They did have the strong rubber scent at first. I usually only buy products that have the Gore-Tex label on it. Took a chance because of the Lacrosse name. Mine have been extremely waterproof while wading creeks, unloading the boat or fishing/ hunting in pouring rains all day. I use 2 types of pricey winter hunting socks and in my deer stand my feet still get a little chilly no matter which socks I have on. Mine will rub the back of my legs where the top snaps on pretty bad. Even with blue jeans tucked inside. Only can tolerate that with thermals on under my clothing. They've held together very well and mine fit like they're supposed to.

These boots are very warm, seem to be very durable, and they are waterproof.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by MrNate Great all weather boot
This boot has been great no matter what the weather or type of terrain that i have used it in , They fit great and hold up to alot of wear and tear. I spend about 2 months hunting in my home state of Virginia and about 3 weeks in Maine every year so i really put my gear to the test and so far this boot has held up nicely.
one note of advice is to plan for cold weather with these boots, a nice pair of heated socks will do the trick

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Millerboy Awesome boots!!!
Just got the boots and have wore them scouting for turkey season. Have gone through creeks and feet are still dry. Been pretty cold where I live and my feet stayed warm with one pair of light socks.
