LaCrosse® Alpha Mudlite 18" Waterproof Snake Boots for Men - Realtree APG™
It seems that it's hard to find good fitting/functioning snake boots. Almost every year for the past 10 years, I've had to by a new pair of snake proof boots for bow season. I've been back and forth between rubber and non-rubber boots and something always seems to be a problem. Usually, the rubber boots are too thick, bulky, uncomfortable and for some reason the non-rubber boots I've purchased either had too much insulation for the milder temps. or they've developed a leak after one season.
Now to these boots. They seem well made and thick but don't appear to be too thick. As another reviewer stated, they are tall. I'm 5'7" and the top edge of the 18" boots meets the tendon on the back of my knee when I sit down...will take some getting used to. On the other hand, they do fit my feet well and are comfortable to walk in. They're a little difficult to take off because of the close ankle fit and they don't have a cleat on the heel to aid when kicking them off.
If they were 17 instead of 18" tall and had a cleat on the heel, I would have given them 5 stars. It will be a couple of weeks before I can field test them.

almost to good to be true
Great boot! I hunt very wet terrain so a rubber boot is the only way to go and snakes are always present so this boot was made for my hunting style. I wasn't thrilled with the cost but after wearing these boots scouting and opening weekend ill never buy anything else!!

Very comfortable, flexible, & quite. Bought these for use in early deer season and turkey season in South Carolina. Love them! Arrived within 5 days of ordering them.

These boots are great! I bought them to turkey hunt with in south alabama. I bought them because I was tired of my feet getting wet when I was just walking threw dew in the grass on the way to my blind in the mornings. Also, we have plenty of snakes to worry about. These boots keep my feet dry and provide snake protection to just below my knee. Also, they are very comfortable! I walked about 4 miles and even ran in them to get ahead of a tom the first morning I used them and my feet didn't hurt at all. The only thing I would warn about is that they are tall. I'm 6'1" and they come right below my knee. These are not for people with short legs.
