Like stated in some other reviews, the material around the ankle does collapse and it makes it uncomfortable. I use thick socks so the pinching of the ankle wasn't bad. The Waterproof is amazing! We were walking in 6-8 inches of water in my last hog hunt and my feet didn't get wet at all. A great buy!

Great boots. I have small ankles so they pinch slightly at the bend in the ankle if I don't lace tight. Bought a second pair for my 14 year old son. Anti-venin is Used to counter a snake bite and the treatment costs anywhere from $10,000-$25,000. The boots are much less expensive and don't have near as much pain.
Where we hunt in west Alabama, we have annual rotating high populations of Copperhead,Timber Rattler and Cottonmouth. If you have ever seen what's out there lying in wait, then you know to get tall snake boots. I highly recommend these because they work and the zipper is a huge time saving convenience.
I wear a 9-1/2 almost always; welcome to the exception; in these I definitely needed size 10.

I am a perfectionist, so I look at all the reviews before I buy anything. When I do but a product, I put it to the test. I first bought these boots a month before bow season to break them in. I am not crazy about strings because it makes it difficult to walk through tall brush, but that's besides the point. What I liked about these boots were that my feet never got cold, (although I do live in Alabama). It wasn't until the last of January that I started getting suspicious about them. Walking through a creek, maybe 4-5 inches deep, I noticed they were feeling damp. I decided to put them to rest after scouting for sheds in March. I never touched running water, but after 3 hours of walking through damp grass, it felt like I was standing in 10' of water. I only use them for checking my trail cameras now. Money wasted.

Do not buy these boots! As mentioned, the ankle material collapses and bunches up. Fraying of material around zippers began first hunting day (light casual hunt, less than 1 mile). This accellerated on the second real hunt of 3 miles. the material rubbed when I walked, making noise. On this hunt the boots were subjected to lots of rain.
On the third hunt, zipper broke while putting them on. I am returning the sorriest pair of boots I have ever seen. Hey, but they were comfortable....
