Purchased Dec 2010. Failed Jul 2011. Replaced by LaCrosse. Failed again Sep 2011. Bass Pro is processing a full refund. Thank you Bass Pro.
This unit is not well enough protected from the elements for it's electronics. The electronics turn green with corrosion and cease to work.
As this situation was just going to keep repeating, BSP was kind enough to allow me to have a full refund and I am going to order a different unit through Bass Pro.

I really like the weather station for what it displays but the screen is way to small you cant see it from a distance.

According to the manufacturer, they are unaware of any corrosion issues.This unit made very well and works great in most areas. There are still metal parts that are used like the bearings for the wind cups and wind arrow, which are concealed really well and should not be a problem.
Some of the older units had metal parts, which were exposed to the elements and did not last long in areas with large amounts of salt in the air.
