We had another La Crosse indoor/outdoor thermometer for years which finally died. I purchased this for a Christmas gift for my husband. After spending hours resetting and taking the batteries in and out to get the outside sensor to work, we finally returned it. After all, without the outdoor sensor, it's really just a $50 clock.
