A:
Blows Rapala and Rat-L-Trap away, though it's pricey. The Redeye Shad is still my favorite. It has a wider wobble and is better performing on a variety of retrieves, and it comes in a huge array of colors. See my post on the lavender shad color---I popped a 9lb, 4oz beast on that color two days ago. Also, you can't beat the price, even though the paint tends to fleck with use and the hooks dull quickly, especially when you don't take time to dry them when changing lures.

IMO it doesn't hurt to have one of each. I know for a fact the Koppers lure works for ice fishing with the rear treble hook removed when "jerking" for pike.

Be honest with you. I cannot say enough about XCalibur Xr50, Xr75 or Xr100 in either rattle version or 1Knocker. Big fish catching machine. For the price, you will be pleased. I heard good thing about Strike Kind Red Eye but comes to the paint finish after catch. XCalibur holds up better abuse.

A:
If you mean extra hooks, then no. They come with smaller trebles, which was initially a concern for me, but not any more. They're extremely sharp and don't dull quickly.
