Without a doubt. I was hesitant at first because of the price, but it did not take long for me to fall in love with them. Purchased yellow/black and green/yellow and have killed it with them. You will not be dissapointed.

Yes, for 2 reasons. If you buy the "scum frog" brand of frog, you'll be constantly be clearing weeds from the front eye and the hooks because of the body on that brand being so soft. Live target frogs are nearly as soft, but the hook design puts the hooks right against the body and the eye blends into the front of the bait to minimize the amount of weeds that can collect on it. Secondly, Live Target has WAY better color patterns that truly look lifelike. Anymore I only buy 2 brands of frogs, Spro (for their pop-r style) and Live Target.
Plus, you'll be amazed at how many bites you'll get with the Live Target than with scum frog or snag proof..

Yes. They are a little on the expensive side to start with but they are durable. Caught 37 fish (up to eight pounds) before I retired the last one. If you do the math that's probably less money that I would have spent fishing plastic worms.

Although this is a very durable lure it won't stand up to the abuse of Snake Head. Try Zoom Super Flukes. Use Superline hooks as Snake Heads will tear up the standard variety

i would think they would tear this frog pretty easily. You might be better off just going with a cheaper frog anyway. I don't Snakeheads are all that picky.

Make sure you are using proper equipment. I throw my Frog's on 50lb Braided spectra pro. I also use a 7'2 MH X-fast tip rod. 7:1 is recommended with frogs because bass have a tendency to come towards you and you need to retrieve that line to ensure a proper hook set.

I still lose some(everybody does)

Also, are you sure your hooking them? Bass can move fast enough that they put slack in the line when they grab the frog, so make sure you have slack up before setting the hook, Also make sure you are not trying to set the hook right away, give them a couple of moments to take it in.

I intentionally fish with my rod tip down so by the time i bring slack in and set the hook, its been long enough for them to take the bait.

i make zero alterations to this bait and caught 70% of my bass on this bait last year.

I wouldn't. It's just one of those thing that can be very tough. you may be trying to set the hook to soon, or maybe the fish just isn't taking it all in. Keep trying.
Good luck!

I wouldnt modify it either. Frog hookups are sometimes pretty vicious and if the hook didnt slide out, it would probably tear the frog.

Don't modify it. I prefer to leave it as is, when they hit it that hard, they really want it! Modifying it will reduce the hook-ups.

I really don't think it's that big of a deal. Based on the fact you are usually fishing them in bunch of cover and the fish are only looking at the bottom.

light days= light colors

Dark days= Dark colors

murky water= bright colors

Clear water= Neutral colors

So evaluate your conditions, and fish the appropriate bait

I agree with the others, Dark colors should work. But if you see a frog in that region with a different color, then you should get that color. But, the flourescent color might get the attention of a fish better than dark color.

I would go as natural as possible. Looking at the choices, it doesn't really matter as the bottom is white on all of them. Maybe one w/ the white/yellow to stand out in murky water.

All the frogs have a white belly which is my most productive color. I fish the murky tidal waters of the California delta and I have found the the darker legs seem to get more strikes. I dont get as many hits on the frogs with yellow legs, though it may just be coincidence. I choose darker colors in mirky or muddy water as they stand out more, though I dont believe you can go wrong any of these frogs. Good Luck!

I use the bronzeye, bronzeye jr, and the bronzeye popper frog. I love the Spro frog lineup! having said that, I tried out the koppers and its an awesome frog. They both get the same amount of strikes, but the koppers has a better hookup ratio out of the box. I think someone has finally given spro some competition.

I was getting multiple strikes on the Koppers per cast. After losing it on a break off on braided, I tied on similar SPRO, no hits whatsoever. I've used Spro a lot, but now I only use Koppers. Just tried the hard walking frog too, and it works better than a spook.

I use both. The Koppers is easier to walk
and has better hookup ratio. I feel the smaller profile matches the hatch better. The Spro works well, caught them up tp 8lbs on them, but I just like the detail and smaller size of the Koppers without losing weight.

I have both and have consistently caught fish on the bronze eye. I pre ordered this one from another website and got a chance to use it late fall. It produces well also. The detail is what sets this one apart. In ultra clear water it seems to help but on the other hand i have a natural green spro that has all the paint chewed off and it performs better than any other I have. The only suggestion I can give is to try both equally and define a personal selection from there.

Good fishing... <*))))><
