i bought the 50lb tilt for sausage and to mix raw dog food. i have 2 adult rhodesian ridgbacks and when it comes time to mix the balance of ground organ meats, muscle meats, the pureed veggies, and cottage cheese this thing is a dream come true. 5 min and was done per load.
Keep in mind if you only make 20-40lbs at a time this unit may not be worth the money due to the clean up. But if you're making more than that def worth it!!! When i make raw dog grind mixes i make about 70+ lbs at a time.

I just purchased this mixer to add to my sausage making operation. I have just started making salami and thought that this mixer would really help with mixing the cheese and jalapenos into the meat. Unfortunately it will not mount to my grinder as the one I have is a different model than needed. I plan on adding a small motor to the mixer to make it easier to use. I noticed that when mixing by hand the mixer doesn't do a great job of mixing the meat. I am hoping that once I add a motor to the unit the increased speed of the mixer will better mix the contents. As of right now I am skeptical but optimistic.

Well after some great help from Head Office, I can Finally say this product was worth the merry go round we were on to get it. We used it to do a 30lb batch of sausage and it was great, It mixed smooth rolled all the meat around great without having to stop to help scrape sides or help mix. Easy to recover mix from and disassembly for cleaning, Great quality construction. Easy to clean as well. By far best mixing unit I have used. Definitely recommend this unit.
