Excellent idea and works like a charm. Without this foot switch I think casing sausages would be almost impossible by yourself. Ideal for bagging wild game or raw food in the LEM 1 pound bags.

I picked up this pedal switch while shopping for the LEM #8 grinder and Food Saver vacuum bagger.
The pedal was a great addition to the use of the grinder. I wish it came with it but, it doesn't. Do consider it with the purchase of the grinder.

I purchased this foot switch AFTER I had purchased the #8 grinder and processed all my deer meat, while filling the poly bags and having to turn the grinder off by hand every time I seen where this could be a very usefully attachment. After getting the foot switch like any kid with a new toy I had to try it out even though I did not have any meat to grind or bag, I can see where this will be a time saver and no more having to turn the grinder off and on by hand using the switch on the grinder. Chalk this one up to lesson learned.

I've been grinding my own for over 20 years..... Why I never invested in one of these escapes me. It will work on all 120 Volt grinders and is a great addition, esp. if you are a sausage maker. I used it for the first time today to process a deer and it was nice not to have to listen to a constantly running grinder or have to constantly switch the machine on/off by hand each time a casing was filled.
