I myself love this product for making summer sausage. It very durable and last a long time. Only one concern is that the size of the packs are misleading. I recently ordered 2 1/2 size thinking it was the smaller sausage casing but when I received it, I realized it was the bigger casings. There is nothing wrong with the bigger casing I just prefer the smaller. It would be nice to see an actual size of the finished sausage.

I mix 50 0/0 elk or deer with 50 0/0 pork and use Grandma LaMure's spice and slice salami mix and stuff these casings. put in fridge for 24 hrs then smoke wirh alder wood for 1 hr. at 300 degrees. Put in fridge for 2-3 days to let the meat shrink and WOW it cant get any better than this! The taste and color are perferct

Yes there is. I havent seen these for a while But if i remember right the 3lb is about twice the diameter. I like the 3lb Casings as I like Deer sausage and I can make about 18 (avg) 3 lb sausages rather than way more 1lb sausages. Either one you choose these are GREAT casings!!1 of 1
