Bought the lid to go with several meat lugs. Lids fit on meat lug but does not snap on for tight fit. Makes meat lug stackable.

The lid does not snap onto the container, which is unfortunate. I specifically bought this for my husband to store his elk and deer meat in, but the lid does not even close. I love the container, but disappointed with the lid.

if you own a meat lug you have to have a lid for storing in the refrigerator or stacking a lug ontop of another one. I could work without them.

The container lid that I ordered fit the container, but did NOT snap closed. I do not understand the concept, especially if you were able to store the meat in the refrig or the freezer!

There's nothing special to the lids to the meat lugs. They are just your standard lids.If you are close to a BPS I would suggest bringing your lug along and making sure it fits before purchasing it and having to return it.
A long time ago I did by some lugs from Gordon Food Service (GFS) and they do NOT fit the lids but the newer lugs I got from BPS fit fine.
It's just making sure you have the right size.
