Works well. Better than a fork. The spring action plate helps the meat from sticking to the spikes. I have used it on deer and steak. I used to use a tenderizing hammer on my deer which works well too, but I think this gives better flavor throughout the meat.
I use this with a vacuum sealer with a marinade container and it does wonderful. At this price, give them as presents. And if any of my friends see this, I can always use another for my hunting cabin. :)
