Tenderizer works very well. Very easy clean up and storage. Minor limitation - the thickness of the piece of meat to be tenderized is somewhat thin. No adjustment can be made to accommodate thicker pieces.
Good quality metal tenderizer for the money though.
Thumbs up!

I started with an "el cheapo" Mr. Tenderizer which is plastic junk. This tenderizer is heavy duty. I don't understand the negative reviews because it does what it is designed to do. I have processed 6 deer using this for steaks and have had no problem with pulverizing or the steaks not being tender. It does work and works well.

I bought this two years ago when they came out because I wanted to start processing my own deer. I also bought the smallest LEM Grinder. The Tenderizer is messy because of the design and it takes a little effort to clamp it to the counter, but works well once you get it on. I tried putting the steaks through it twice but found it unnecessary. I did take the orange plastic cover off. I found it just made using the tenderizer harder and I think it was put on there for safty reason. If your not stupid you should be able to keep your fingers out of the way. Clean up was pretty easy I just hosed it off with my sprayer from the sink and let the runoff go down the disposal. Steaks were very tender and I couldn't tell the difference between them and those I had done professionally the year before. If you don't want to spend a couple hundred bucks on the bladed one I think you'll be happy with this. If you've got the money to spend get the better ones with the blades. All in all it's a good peice of equipment for the price.
