I got this call a few weeks before deer season opened. On the first day of season, within 5 minutes of being in my stand, I turned it and had a 6pt. come bounding over a hill into view. i couldnt get a shot, so i let em go. I called in another one a few hours later. The call is louder and makes a longer bleat than the primos cans. Definitly worth the ten dollars.

Realistic sounding bleat call, easy to use and the lid is a nice touch for keeping quiet while walking.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by MDH1 THE BLEAT SOUND LASTS LONGER THAN THE COMPETITORS
THE SOUND AND CARRY TIME OF THIS GRAVITY BLEAT CALL WILL LAST FOR AT LEAST A GOOD 3-4 SECONDS LONGER THAN THE NEAREST COMPETITORS CALL. IT IS EASY TO USE AND IT HAS A LID CAP WHICH WILL SAVE AN ACCIDENTAL CALL WHEN NOT NEEDED FOR USE. I WOULD RECOMMEND IT, BECAUSE IT REALLY DRAWS A DEER'S ATTENTION EASILY, TO HELP BRING THEM INTO YOUR VIEWING RANGE.

I hunt whitetails in an area with a lot more does than bucks, probably a 1 to 15 ratio. What call would you recommend?

You definitely want something with a good bleat call. Thanksgiving is a good time in general rule of thumb to catch bucks in search of the does. The bleat will not only help bring does in, but that aids in appealing to a big bucks three major senses and bringing him out of the thicket and into a shoot-able position. I would recommend the Hunter's Specialties True Talker or the True Talker 2. By far the best all around call with amazingly acute bleats. I used it this weekend during the pre-rut bow season and called in three does and two smaller basket rack 8s and I swear by this call. It took a little bit to learn, but it has a lot of flexibility with calling, easy to blow, and amazingly acute sounds that a gravity bleat call just can't match. I've used a lot of calls and this is the one I carry all the time now. Use it on every hunt multiple times and rarely don't call a deer in to the area. Good luck on the hunt.Answers
