This is one of the better smallmouth baits made. The color closely matches the forage in our local lakes.

These performed very well. Work equally as a jig or a grub for a jig

I was wondering what kind of hook i should use with this for a texas rig and with a football head? also with the texas rig should i add a bullet wieght or not? i am fishing around the james river area mainlyAnswers

I reccomend at least a 3/0 Gammakatsu Wide Gap worm hook for Texa rigging Hula Grubs like the Kinami. Absoulutely use a bullet weight with this rig any where from 1/4 to a 1 oz. depending on current, water depth and line size. Foot ball lead heads are awesome on Hula grubs becase they give the bait an enticing "roller/rocker" side to side action that drive bass crazy on clean, rock and gravel bottoms. Texas rigs work best weedless for punching thru milfoil, coontail or Hydrilla or aquatic weed mats to tbe bass waiting below. The JigmiesterA:Â
This bait can be fished a number of ways. If Texas rigging, use a hook around 2/0 in size. Also, if using a jig head, be sure to match the appropriate size jig head to this bait. An 1/8 to 3/8 ounce jig head should do well with this bait depending on the situation and rate of fall that you are trying to match.1 of 1
