Kimber® Pro Crimson Carry II Pistol
Bad Clip with Poor Customer Serv
Purchased this gun on 6 December. First time to the range and bullets were not feeding into the chamber properly. Called Kimber on 9 Dec and the rep concluded I had a bad clip and would send one out right away. Today, Dec 31 and still no clip. When I called today, they had no record of the call and no customer record on file for me. I had actually went through Kimber's online authentication process the day I purchased the gun where you provide customer contact info.
Unfortunately, Kimber guns only come with one clip.
My brother purchased the same gun, a Pro Carry II, only in stainless. His is not feeding properly either.
We both use Winchester ammo which was recommended by the sales rep at Bass Pro so hopefully that is not the issue.
When the gun does fire, it is very accurate.

I purchased the Kimber Pro Crimson Carry II back in January. I do not consider myself an extreme gun enthusiast nor a "Top Shot" marksman. However, when I did get a chance to take this gun to the range it made me look as if I were an expert marksman. I made my own 8 1/2" x 11" targets with five, one-inch, black circles on them. The first time I shot at one of the circles I hit it! I thought, OK, beginner's luck. Number two and three shots just about eliminated that black circle. Yes, the Kimber guns may cost a bit more, but I can attest to their accuracy. My Kimber made this "OK" shooter into a "Top Gun" marksman.

Love this gun!!
I've always been a 1911 fan and made the jump to Kimber by means of a different dealer who told me about his tour of their factory and the top quality materials and components they used.. I did buy this one from Bass Pro Shops though. Well I've got about 1,200 rounds through her so far and this thing is nothing short of amazing. Not a single FTF (failure to feed) or FTE (failure to eject) yet. I did have to send it to Kimber after I stripped the frame where a grip bushing goes, which was my own fault, and they covered it under warranty. The aluminum frame makes it light weight and a joy to carry. It's exceptional trigger helps make it a very accurate weapon. I don't see myself ever parting with this unless I make the leap to an Ed Brown or something. Then I'll probably still keep it.
