A small, lightweight pistol ideal for concealed or backup carry, the Kimber Ultra Crimson Carry II pistol features a compact aluminum frame with short grip for easy concealment. Like the Pro Crimson Carry line, Ultra Crimson Carry pistols combine Kimber quality with a Crimson Trace Lasergrip for greater accuracy, confidence, and value. A lightweight pistol ideal for carrying all-day/every day, this 1911-style handgun is built around a lightweight aluminum frame machined on the same computer-driven machines and to the same unequaled tolerances as Kimber steel frames. The Ultra Crimson Carry's steel slide and match grade steel 3'' bushingless bull barrel aids concealability while still delivering Kimber accuracy. One of the finest laser sights available, Crimson Trace Lasergrips project a bright red dot downrange, to help shooters of all levels learn the advantage of proper grip and trigger control immediately, helping them improve accuracy and reduce time between shots while training. Extended thumb safety and beavertail grip safety for fast positive action.

I own a multitude of handguns that range from .22 cal to 357 mags, and my Kimber .45 ACP is by far my favorite. Shooting accurately with this piece is it's biggest attribute. Recoil is low for a 45 ACP. It's beautifully crafted and easy to carry. Though a little pricey, this Kimber is well worth it in my opinion. The only kickback is using the paperclip-type field stripping tool that Kimber provides with this gun. Recently, I have purchased an adapter tool online that has made disassembly a heck of a lot easier. Overall, this is a great gun for personal carry or taking to the range!

Bought this handgun new in December. Nothing but problems since the first time I fired it. Constant failure to feed issues. Sometimes it even has an issue just chambering the first round off the magazine. I have heard many possible fixes... buy better magazines, change ammo brands, polish your feed ramp, tune your extractor, make sure you have fired at least 500 rounds for your break-in period, etc, etc. I am telling you honestly that none of that has helped this firearm perform as it should. I have put so much money into an already expensive gun that now I am totally disappointed. I bought this for CC but I can't trust it. At all! The only thing left to do is to send it back to Kimber. If you have one that peforms well, then congrats! I think it's a real hit or miss situation with buying the 3" Kimbers. I personally will never own another firearm with the word Kimber on it. It costs way too much money itself for a person to need to put additional money towards it just to make it work.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by RoadkingFLHRI IMHO the perfect carry weapon
This is exactly what I was looking for. A light, small, accurate gun. Easy to handle, low recoil. This is a very well made gun of excellent quality. Very comfortable to carry with an IWB holster. You don't even know its there, but packs 7 45 cal rounds. Cons: replace the sights with meprolight night sights. Also, buy the ultra tool that can be found on-line. Really makes breaking down the gun a breeze. These are minor investments that will yield significant improvements making this gun everything you could dream of.

This is my primary CCW. It is easy to carry and comfortable. I have put about 500 rounds through it and it is deadly accurate both with and without using the laser sight. Unlike the ultra- light weight polymer weapons, this Kimber is heavy enough to absorb a lot of the recoil making it easy on the shooter and provides for quick target reacquisition. Easy to carry, easy & conceal and easyon the shooter, deadly accurate and fun to shoot. I plan on buying a Kimber full size soon. I love it!
