Super-strong fiber allows maximum thread pressure. This is how experts spin the most tightly packed hair bugs. This fiber does not take dye permanently - dyed colors tend to bleed, so we carry only the natural flax color. 50 yards.

Excellent Thread First off, the other reviews for this product are completely wrong. You are doing something completely wrong if you are snapping this thread. And yes, it is a stranded thread, but so are many of the others. If you have been tying long enough, you will learn how to use that thread separation to your advantage. Anyway, this is a very good product. Excellent when tying with deer hair or elk hair. You will bend the hook before you break the thread. September 26, 2011
Buy at your own risk I can't recommend this thread to anyone. A very heavy stiff, non workable rope like material. March 25, 2010
Use at own risk I bought this kevlar thread with the idea of tying some bass bugs and large streamers. First, I am completely disappointed in the thread's performance. It often separates into strands and becomes difficult to wrap. Second, even though this is supposed to be very strong, it is not. I have snapped this thread more than once and I consider myself an accomplished tyer. Third, and I can not stress this enough, I would not use this thread ever again. Do not buy this product and I do not recommend this to a foe much less a friend. Use at your own risk! February 18, 2008

This is the same stuff they use in bullet proof vests and such. You will cut the hair or fibers before you break the thread.
