Thoroughly tested by professional fishermen, the urethane polymer Kevlar KeelShield gets its extraordinary strength from the addition of DuPont Kevlar aramid fiber, a fiber with five times the strength of steel on an equal-weight basis. The Kevlar KeelShield can prevent damage while trailering or beaching your craft on sand, rocks, or even concrete ramps. The ribbed KeelShield measures 5" wide by 7' long and fits most boats up to 22'. It works equally well on fiberglass and most aluminum boats.
