Kershaw Volt SS Assisted Opening Fine Edge Drop Point Folding Knife
Better than the Kershaw Leek
Previously owned a Kershaw Leek as my primary carry knife I lost it one day while in the brush. Loved the Leek, it was sleek, fast and balanced BUT I think the Leek is now overpriced at well over $50.00. When I purchased it I paid $36.95. The Volt SS is not as sleek but it is slightly larger and more rugged with a heavier blade that I find is more useful. It is also fast very well balanced and very sharp. I also like the grip of the Volt better. In short I think you get more knife with the Volt than with the Leek for less money. Don't get me wrong, the Leek is a great knife, but at $39.95 the Volt is a no-brainer.
Buy the Volt.

I own two Kershaw knives and wouldn't think of buying anything else. They have great steel, hold an edge longer than any other knife I've ever owned and they are tough. I actually enlarged the ring hole in both of mine so that I could put them on a pocket chain. Long enough to let me do what I need but short enough that no one is going to steal it either. I lost my first Kershaw to one of my "friends" but never again and God help him if I see him with my first one....LOL
In the survey attached to this review, it asks if I hunt and no I don't but I do shoot competitively. I just prefer not to kill what I don't eat....groundhogs excluded....

very good for the price
Made in China but the materials used to make this knife seems to be of high quality and under a tight supervision for quality control.Beautiful design, sharp edge out of the buble pack, the assisted opening mechanism is very fast and effortless, the blade is the right length, not too big,not too small, the handle is very comfortable, when it is open, the blade locks solid. I love it.Very good buy for the price and that`s why I gave it 5 stars.

This is an excellent knife! Very sharp right out of the box, no play in the blade, and the assist opening works great. This is one knife i will NOT be lending out!
