Built to meet IPX5 Certification standards for marine environments, the KMR-700U Marine iPod/USB Receiver connects seamlessly with most iPod®s and the iPhone® 3G via the built-in USB Direct Cable. On top of providing a seamless connection and total control of most iPods and iPhones, Kenwood’s KMR-700U Marine iPod/USB Receiver has a built-in Sirius DirectConnect interface as well as standard AM/FM radio stations. The Sirius DirectConnect feature interface makes it easier and less expensive to add a Sirius SCC1 tuner or SC-VDOC1 dock cradle for your portable Sirius tuner. Plus, the face on this feature-rich and easy-to-use Marine iPod/USB Receiver flips down to provide a safe location for you to store your iPod or iPhone while it's playing.

No, this unit does not have weather channel unless your local FM or Sirius satellite (SC-C1 tuner) supports it. Thanks!

Yes, this unit has an ILM Dimmer to reduce the key illumination brightness.
Auto: Dims the illumination in conjunction with the light switch of the vehicle.
Manual: Dims the illumination constantly.
Off: Does not dim the illumination.

No, just the water-resistant conformal coatings that protect the internal circuitry from the corrosive marine environment and watertight compartment inside the receiver keeps your iPod or other MP3 player protected from the elements.
