There is nothing like sleeping on a cot outdoors. During cold weather, it gets you off the heat-stealing ground, and when the hot weather hits, a cot allows your body to take advantage of breezy nights. The Kamp-Rite Oversized Tent Cot is a versatile piece of outdoor furniture that has a tent built on top of a sturdy aluminum cot frame. Built out of 210D Poly Oxford fabric with a 1500mm PU waterproof coating, no-see-um mesh doors and windows, the rain fly provides plenty of ventilation and protection from the elements when needed. The Oversized version of the Tent Cot is built to accommodate taller campers and to give more "elbow-room" for other campers. The "dome style" design allows for extra headroom. Cot features an an EVA moisture barrier/insulating pad underneath and offers the ability to tilt one end you can enjoy the relaxing comfort of a lounge chair during the day. Weight capacity: 350 lbs. As for the dog, I woud say there is room for a small to mid-size dog in the oversized not sure about the single.
Depending on how big you are and what your definition of medium size dog is, I would say yes. I'm 5'8" 190 and there's plenty of room left. I imagine I can fit a lab in there. Snug, but yes.

How do you secure the Kamp-Rite Tent Cot to the ground. So that it won't fall over if it is a windy day.

Are you talking about the small window that's like 6" long on the center flap with the velcro? I folded the flap in half and stuck the velcro on itself.
