I've used these in the 3/4 to 1.5 ounce size for fishing near shore coastal Louisiana waters, mostly chartruse. The finish holds really well, compared to cheaper brands, and the hooks have been outstanding. I'm catching bull reds up to 35 or more pounds and sharks and other big stuff and haven't had a jig failure yet. I can't say that about other brands where the hooks have straightened out. What an ouch! that is. I tried some other jig heads but now am back with these exclusively. Good for freshwater too but the real test is big saltwater fish.

I have relly grown to like these baits as you can fish a heavier hook, with out loss of action. I fish for tournament reds (just under 27'') in the marshes of Louisiana. Baits hold up fairly well and catch just as good as any grub out there.

I always use these for texas rigging live shrimp. it works the best in deep water using the red or charatuse colors. The paint does come off after a while.
