Junk I read the reviews before I bought it and thought it could not be that bad !! well its worse , its flimsy and it twists every time you turn it, always seems like its going to jump out. I have a 15.6 foot john boat with a 30 lb thrust trolling motor so its not like its a 55 or 60 lb ! big disapointment so don't waste your time or money. June 17, 2013
Excellent Product I purchased this product 4 years ago and it has worked perfectly ever since. I use my jon boat very regularly and put the boat through some pretty nasty cover. The bracket has never failed me. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is searching for an easy solution to mount a hand-controlled trolling motor. February 8, 2010
want to return it I bought this item thinking I could use it on the front of my boat but the first time it became obvious i shouldnt have bought it. first it is flimsy it moves back and forth when you go forward or reverse. second if you go over half speed forward it actually pops out of the handle. so Im back where I was before I bought it. good idea but.... The bracket was much too large to fit in the standard handles on a 14 foot utility boat. It is impossible to wedge it in so that it has any stability and would hold the trolling motor. I woul like to see it in a couple of different sizes or with a couple of different detachable mounts so that it could be used on any boat. August 25, 2010
