Better than nothing For use on the bow, it needs a cut out in the center, because that is what most people use to hook the tie down to from the boat trailer. It is too flimsy without some minor modifications to make it stronger. It's a good start for a bow mounting problem that plagues all jon boat users with a round molded lip where nothing else will work. The mount will not fit a jon boat with rounded lip without modification. I had to add a piece of 2 inch lumber to bring the mount out far enough to work. February 23, 2015
great product haven't use it yet but i'm sure it will work and it was in my price range. July 12, 2013
No Problems I've used this bracket now for five years and its been an asset to my bass fishing. You mount your trolling motor and never have to unscrew it from the bracket. If you want to take your trolling motor off your boat you simply just pull up and it comes off with ease. Goes back on the same way. It does have alittle shake but thats on a high speed on your trolling motor. With it's ease of use I highly recommend it for your Jon boat. April 19, 2008
Performs as promised! I was very pleased with this product, as it solved the problem of repeatedly securing the trolling motor to my boat during each trip. It appears to flex, which I found is helpful when I hit logs etc....Only drawback is that there are no directions with the product, but it is not hard to figure out. May 7, 2006
