I use these from May to late June in lakes around the cottage. The extra treble hook works best for finicky specled trout and ensures a high catch rate. Various colors and swim deapths are key to have as the trout move from 6 inches of water to deeper runs when the weather warms and the sun shines or gives way to clouds. Tie directly ensures an authentic motion in the water - just remember to re-tie after landing larger trout.

these lures are amazing. they spin thru the water perfectly every cast, they catch fish. period. we catch large and small mouth bass also all the other pan fish and have caught northern on these lures. get the larger super striker series and a couple of each color. we have had the best luck with the white and any brown lures. the black have also been amazing. we also noticed we catch more fish on the gold color spinners, fish here don't seem to like silver for some reason. great price and awesome lure.

These things catch everything!
Trout, Bass, Panfish, etc, etc, etc...
My largest smallmouth to date was on this lure (5.5lbs) from the shore. Only complaint is some have brass wire down center which can rust and break and the treble hooks have snapped off on snags before (even though I use 6lb test). Otherwise very well designed.

i spin fish for trout with ultralight gear, and was wondering how heavy this spinner is.....under 1/8 oz. perhaps? thanks.....Answers
A:Â
They vary from 1/8 to 1 and 1/4.Use 1/8 to 1/2 on 6lb test mono for best results. Don't forget to tie on directly.

they have the 1/8 oz and they are light, we like the 1/4 oz easier to cast. we fish from a boat and throw to the shore and bring the fish to us. bass like to lay near the shore.A:Â
This lure is 1/4 ounce. I use it in North GA trout streams . Don't be concerned about the size. I have caught trout from 9 inches to 5 pounds.A:Â
1/4 ounce lures works the best. it seems crazy for the weight but settles in on the bottom just greatA:Â
well its actually 1/4 of an ounce thats what it says on the box i guess1 year, 3 months ago
A:Â
its 1/4 oz, its casts like a beauty and is way better for catching trout than the short strikers, which you can get at 1/8 oz. It doesn't sink fast because of the dynamics within the lure, so its perfect .A:Â
The super striker are 1/4oz in weight and the short striker is what i use for trout in streams. The larger 1/4oz super striker may target larger lake trout or larger trout looking for a larger meal. Sometimes size matters with the bigger fish. I've seen the bite slow down when the bigger fish come in to see what the smaller fish are doing. This is when i up size my lures. Joes flies has that assortment to do so.A:Â
1/8 ounce you can use 4lb to 10lb test line.1 of 1
