Joe's Flies Super Striker Elite Series Lures are true ''go-to'' lures for any angler who dreams of landing lunker trout, steelhead or smallmouth. Each of these perfectly weighted and balanced Super Strike Elite Series Lures features a mirror-polished #3.5 Colorado spinner blade, a premium quality hand-tied fly and a trailing treble hook attached with 30 lb. test stainless steel wire so short strikers are hooked and not missed.
Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 27 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Trout Strike at Joe's Flies I use these from May to late June in lakes around the cottage. The extra treble hook works best for finicky specled trout and ensures a high catch rate. Various colors and swim deapths are key to have as the trout move from 6 inches of water to deeper runs when the weather warms and the sun shines or gives way to clouds. Tie directly ensures an authentic motion in the water - just remember to re-tie after landing larger trout. April 9, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by GREAT product always has been bought one at local store. caught limit of trout in no time. Liked it so much I ordered 10 more. 4 in March brown, 2 in Royal coachman, 2 in black wooly bugger, 2 in black gnat( i think). Purcahsed the ones in 1/4 oz. Joe's flies have always been a great lure. Rated 5 out of 5 by best lure made these lures are amazing. they spin thru the water perfectly every cast, they catch fish. period. we catch large and small mouth bass also all the other pan fish and have caught northern on these lures. get the larger super striker series and a couple of each color. we have had the best luck with the white and any brown lures. the black have also been amazing. we also noticed we catch more fish on the gold color spinners, fish here don't seem to like silver for some reason. great price and awesome lure. Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Spinner on the Market These things catch everything! Trout, Bass, Panfish, etc, etc, etc... My largest smallmouth to date was on this lure (5.5lbs) from the shore. Only complaint is some have brass wire down center which can rust and break and the treble hooks have snapped off on snags before (even though I use 6lb test). Otherwise very well designed. They vary from 1/8 to 1 and 1/4.
Use 1/8 to 1/2 on 6lb test mono for best results. Don't forget to tie on directly.

they have the 1/8 oz and they are light, we like the 1/4 oz easier to cast. we fish from a boat and throw to the shore and bring the fish to us. bass like to lay near the shore.

This lure is 1/4 ounce. I use it in North GA trout streams . Don't be concerned about the size. I have caught trout from 9 inches to 5 pounds.

A:
its 1/4 oz, its casts like a beauty and is way better for catching trout than the short strikers, which you can get at 1/8 oz. It doesn't sink fast because of the dynamics within the lure, so its perfect .

A:
The super striker are 1/4oz in weight and the short striker is what i use for trout in streams. The larger 1/4oz super striker may target larger lake trout or larger trout looking for a larger meal. Sometimes size matters with the bigger fish. I've seen the bite slow down when the bigger fish come in to see what the smaller fish are doing. This is when i up size my lures. Joes flies has that assortment to do so.
