Best for sunfish!
Fishing some late March bluegills and sunfish. The entire lake was getting skunked, so I figured I would throw on the Joe's that I bought for trout. Sure enough, nearly every cast landed a nice sized blue and even a couple 1 pound large mouth. Best lure hands down for sunfish of all kinds! Trout season is coming and I hope they are as effective, but on light tackle you can't beat em'

Hard to beat
These Joe's Flies are a stroke of genius. They have generated a lot of fun times when me and friends have used them on trout trips. I can't speak for other species first hand, but if others say they work on other fish than trout, then I beleive them 100%. These are so effective on trout ... just cast out into a pocket or rivermouth, wait a few seconds and start a slow retrieve and hold on!

Absolutely the Best Lure I've Ever Used
The 1/4 ounce spinnerfly pack is the best pack of lures I've ever purchased. I used the smaller Joe's Flies with great success in both stream and lake, but nothing catches trout like these.
They have incredible casting distance when fished with medium light rods or light rods. I will even throw them on my medium and fish for bass.
I've found these lures work great as a search bait and you are able to cover a lot of water in a short period of time. While I've fished these lures on both rivers and lakes, in my experience, they work best in lakes.
Joes Flies' vibration in the water is irresistable to smallmouth, largemouth, trout, yellow perch, and I've even caught a few scrappy bluegill on this larger lure.
The treble trailer hook is easy to remove if required for local DNR compliance, but I find when bass fishing, that I catch the majority of my fish on the treble hook.
These lures are fantastic for small children, too, since the razor sharp hooks require almost no hook set. Likewise, they can be fished quickly or slowly, and I've even caught fish using them as a jigging spoon.
The bottom line: If I could only have one lure at my disposal, the 1/4 ounce Joe's Flies spinnerfly (in the rainbow trout pattern) would be it.
