Looks just like the real thing!
This Jefferson Toy Rifle is just what your little cowboy or cowgirl needs when exploring new frontiers! Fashioned after the Wild West original, this gun features die-cast metal with an antique style. Heavy-duty molded plastic is durable and looks like real wood. Imported.
A great way to introduce kids to gun safety and help them develop hand/eye coordination.

My 3 year old got this toy gun and once he learned how to load it he has only put it down when we are out of caps... I read the other review and I must say that for a toy gun it has a good solid feel and despite the abuse from my little guy is holding up very well. Pro's: Solid feel, easy to use, not too loud and the poping smoking caps make it exciting for the little guys (older kids may expect louder bang.) Cons: I am worried the magazine may get misplaced (It must be removed to load caps.) The instructions were a bit vague on loading and the caps are not available online at BPS. I am looking for more... Overall it is a lot of fun and the older boys are always asking the little one to have a turn.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Grandma Jefferson Rifle jams continually
We purchased the Jefferson Riffle for my grandson, and the first day it started jamming. It took a long piece of wire and thin needle nose pliers to get the cap out. It would fire a few more times and jam. A week later it just wouldn't work. For the money, I would have at least expected to go through two packages of caps. Living an hour and a half from Cincinnati, doesn't making returning the item cost efficient.
