Started to use this lure in 2012 when I saw a kid catching trout when the rest of us were not in late morning. I asked him what kind of lure he was using and he said it's a Jake lure they use a lot out west. I went to Bass Pro and the customer service people were very helpful to find this lure for me and the next fishing trip I used this first thing. Caught 3 trout within 20 min, thats pretty good considering Penna. Since then I have caught trout, bass, they love it, and pickerell. Gold w/ red dots and silver and white lures work quite well. They are a good investment in your box.

This lure is amazing! I caught an 18 pound steelhead from the bank with the gold/orange spot model. The action is extremely unique for a metal lure, and I have caught all manner of species with this lure. Don't buy just one!

I first used this in Yellowstone. Took it to NJ and dropped it into Delaware Bay in the Maurice River Cove. Had weakfish as soon as it hit the bottom. That was many years ago but it will take fluke and bluefish as well. Have to be careful with that little treble hook. A larger hook may kill the action though. It has even taken oyster crackers and blowfish!

Rated 5 out of 5 by kupchoi1 Best lure for all Las Vegas Urban ponds
This is the Best lure to use at all the urban ponds in Las Vegas NV. You'll be catching trout left & right with this lure.Just remember to retie your lure after about eight or nine trout. I keep losing lures when I forget to do that. Also if you don't use a swivel the edge can be sharp just file it down a little
