- Fiberglass circuit board lip
- Silent—no rattles
- Low ballast weight helps bait recover position after bouncing off cover
- Dives 3-4'
The result of over five years' testing and 100 prototypes, the Jackall Aska is a squarebill crankbait featuring a thin fiberglass circuit board lip with no rattles. Other features include high-end hooks and a low ballast weight that allows the crankbait to revert to its original position and trajectory after bouncing off cover. Belly hook was designed to have less play to avoid tangling with the bill or rear hook. This shallow-running crankbait dives 3-4', has a fast wobble, and rises on the pause. It is also virtually indestructible.

Bought this bait for myself and my 8 year old son to have a better chance at catching bass. We are catching them like crazy with this lure. Very expensive lure, but priceless to see my son's excitement and eyes open up when he catches a large mouth bass. Especially when he catches the ones larger than the ones his Dad catches :-).. There was a time when I begged him to go fishing. Now he begs me :-)... Have fun...

I have had more than one opportunity to fish the bronze green Aska I have, and it has been a productive, tight rolling-wobbling crank that runs down 2-3ft on 12# mono. With its lively action, rattles really aren't needed, especially for the pressured lakes where I fish. Hooks are exceptionally sharp; I know by experience. Had an 18" LM well hooked and when it flopped as I tried to remove the hook, it stuck in my finger past the barb in a flash. So, it not only catches fish, it does a pretty good job on fishermen as well. Aska has been a confidence lure for me. I know I will catch something when it's tied on. Got 2 in the 15" size today.

For whatever it's worth, you know that lure you've always wanted to buy but the price kept you from making that purchase? You know what I'm talking about, all of us avid fisherman have done it. Then you conger up the nerve and make that sacrifice! Then you don't use it because you're afraid to loose it! Well I've done that with this lure and I must admit, the first one of the three I purchased got hooked up on a snag and was not retrieved! Talk about being upset! Words just can't describe the way I was feeling. So after losing that one, I said to myself that I bought them to use and hopefully catch some fish as a bonus! So I tied on the second one thinking to myself, either use it or loose it! Then the unthinkable happened, I caught a 26 inch speckled trout! Shortly after that I caught a 14 incher. After releasing both fish, I thought to myself that these lures actually work! After that, the cost of them kinda didn't matter as much as it did. I still have two of the three I purchased and I'll most likely buy another one... eventually.

If you fish a square bill you need to throw it in the most thickest, nastiest stuff you can find. For $16 a pop, I am going to go swimming for that. I can't justify its fish catching ability over the Strike King 1.5 and 2.5. Does this product work? It will flat out catch bass and big ones at that but so will a lot others.
