Irish Setter® VaprTrek® 8'' Waterproof Insulated Hunting Boot for Men - Brown/Realtree Xtra®
Dont buy for heavy use
I am a Land Surveyor that works in the field so admittedly Im tough on boots. I should also admittedly know to stick to all leather construction when it comes to boots. Long story short, the fabric these boots are made of started to fray and come apart after about 2 and a half months.

I bought these because I needed a pair of lightweight insulated boots for bike riding in cold temps. I waited to review these after using them in various temps and conditions. I have worn them though for walking/biking in 0 temps to 40's. Being a hunter, I think these are best for about 1-2 mile walks, they are lightweight not like a pac boot. I don't see them being waterproof. I have wide feet and ordered the wide width and a size larger. I am glad I did. The insulation appears to be only in the ankle region none in the toes. Heavier socks allows these to be worn and walk in the teens to 20's. These are comfortable lightweight, if you need to sit in a blind in 30 temps get a pac type boot. Today I wore a light sock at 38 and top of my feet were getting cold after 20 min. All the insulation is in the ankles none in the toes, cold transfers quickly to the top of the foot. Winter biking is ok for short rides but toes get cold but heavy socks help. Buy one size larger to be able to wear heavy socks is my advice. These will not work for ice fishing.

our store was going out of business and I waited till they were cheap. I paid 69.00. great buy. I wore these in Colorado last year and was happy. I had to wear heavier socks to keep warm. I was standing for hours. walking they are warm. feet were dry. only problem was when walking around cactus, the spines went through the sides poking my skin. very painful. these need more leather on the sides for spines. overall, great boot.
