I am on my third pair. I ware them everyday for work and recreation in all weather. they are the lightest, most durable boots I have ever owned and I will buy them again and again.

These boots did not meet my expectations. I took them on a one-week elk hunt in the Colorado mountains. They worked okay, but given their price did not perform as well as they should have. Specific complaints:
- They caused some small blisters, even after I broke them in a couple days. Worse was they smashed my toes and actually blackened part of my big toe. I had a size 12. They were probably too small, but I tried a size 13 and they were much too big.
- The leather was not durable enough. After only 2 days they were full of scratches and scuffs and looked horrible.
- Waterproofing was okay, but leaked a little bit when hiking in the rain. They also got very water logged and doubled or tripled in weight during the hike through the rain.
- Poor traction on wet surfaces. I fell several times while walking over wet rocks and logs.
I suppose they would work well for light hiking on trails, but they did not hold up off the beaten path.
