Working in Wyoming in the early spring, I needed a warm boot. I purchased these boots because of the high insulation rating. However, they weren't as warm as I thought they would be for 1000g. Maybe I wasn't wearing a warm enough wool sock but my feet were cold within a few hours of work. Possibly they aren't windproof and that was the issue because in WY the wind blows ALL day and night. On a positive note, they gave plenty of wiggle room for toes, never gave me blisters or sore feet, and size was good (i ordered a size bigger for more sock room).

My brother-in-law recommened IS. So I bought myself these boots. I'm real picky about being able to move my toes and having that already broke in feeling. These boots had both my concerns taken care of. Mine are insulated 1000g, and my feet stay REAL warm, so if you don't need insulated, don't get the insulated pair or at least not as high as I did.

These boots were too narrow in the forefoot, even with a regular sock.. I have no problem with fitting other boots, shoes in the forefoot even with winter socks..

A:
True to size I wear a 9 in tennis shoes and bought this boot in a 9 too (cause it looks more like a tennis shoe) and its perfect.A:
Order a half size up. The insulation inside these boots is nice and thick, but it can be a tad tight, especially with thick socks.A:
I wear a 7 to 7.5 and tried both sized on. the 7.5 was the best fit for me.1 of 1
