I needed a pair of rugged, yet warm hunting boots for a planned trip for Elk in the Rocky Mtns. I did some research on Basspro.com and then went to try them out on my feet. I tried on 11 pairs from different brands. After an hour of walking around in many different set of boots, I made the selection and went home with the Irish Setter Grizzly 400 Gram Thinsulate! Since the purchase, I have been on a dozen hikes of 5 miles or more with a 40 lb. pack on my back and these boots are Rock Stars! They feel like rugged tennis shoes, and I found them to require only a one hike break-in period. I'm impressed to say the least, but I'm most proud that they are light and comfortable, but built like a Tank!

I bought these boots for a black bear hunt I have coming up in May on Vancouver Island. I know it is often wet out there so I did a lot of research. I have been hiking in different weather conditions in Northern MA to break them in and see if they hold up to the other reviews. So far they have been great. I have walked through streams and mud and in snow. My feet have stayed warm and dry throughout. They were hike ready out of the box, very comfy. I am very happy with the purchase.

I love the Irish Setter products. I also own the ruttmaster rubber boots boots. Very comfortable. Great boots!!!

The Grizzly Trackers proved invaluable for winter hunting of fallow & sambar deer in Australia. Temps between 25 F and 55 F were fine with the 400 gram insulation and the waterproofing easily prevented heavy dew, frost, mud and sodden ground from giving the wearer wet feet. The aggressive tread was a godsend when traversing very steep hillsides covered in scree and leaf matter and the ankle support was unprecedented. Without doubt the best hunting boots I've ever owned.

D sizes are for normal width feet. EE would be for 2X the normal width. EEE is triple or 3X the normal width and so on...

"D" means medium width and "EE" means extra wide. Have these boots myself. EXCELLENT CHOICEA:
