Intex River Run I Tube - Model 58825E
Cheap Family Fun
We have purchased a total of 7 of these tubes. My wife and I, my oldest daughter and my 2 year old grand daughter, my youngest daughter and her fiancee, and a family friend have made our little 3-4 hour float trip down the St. Joseph river in northern Indiana, our Sunday family get together. We pack some food and drinks, strap our tubes together and it's an instant flotilla. I even get to do a little Smallmouth fishing. What could better?

We have enjoyed the new tubes and think they are very sturdy. I also purchased a floating cooler and automatic inflation system which plugs into the car lighter. These items make the whole process a breeze and enhances the experience for sure!
An interesting couple of features I didn't see mentioned were the inflation/ deflation valve and the webbing in the seat of the tube. The valve is two part, allowing for quick inflation without leaking air- this is within a larger deflation valve which is easily unscrewed to let air out quickly. With my new pump it takes about a minute to fully inflate and 20 seconds to deflate the main chamber. The webbing is an iteresting feature which gives some measure of protection from abrasions generally encountered when passing over barely submerged river rock. It also keeps empty cans and sunscreen in your (ahem) cockpit.
Enjoy these tubes- they are a great value!

So-so tube for rivers
Great tube if you don't encounter any rocky bottoms or hit any rocks while river tubing, the vinyl is too thin and punctures easy on Colorado river rocks, would be great if they sold a canvas cover for this product. Love the back rest and cup holders though!

tube was a lot stronger than I thought it would be, we took it to the lake and we had 3 kids playing on it at once, they weighed about 235 pounds all together. planning on taking to river for a short float..
