SOUNDS WORKED OK LIGHT DID NOT. GOT THIS FOR MY GRANDSON SO MY DAUGHTER PLANS A TRIP TO THE PRO BASS STORE SOON ANYWAY AND WILL TAKE IT BACK TO RETURN IT I AM SURE IT IS A MINOR THING AND THE REPLACEMENT WILL BE FINE. OTHER THAN THAT IT IS OK AND THE OTHER CAMPING ITEMS WERE GREAT.

What's a campsite without a lantern when you're a kid? We bought this for our daughter's 8th birthday, along with the other three items from this line that Bass Pro carries. She fell in love with it instantly. Not only can she get light at the touch of a button, she gets the sounds of crickets chirping, a wolf howling, frogs croaking, and an owl hooting. The sounds are not loud enough to annoy grown-ups. In fact, I found the cricket sounds soothing. It now has a home on her nightstand and has been used to confound one of our cats. The only drawback is that we have not yet found a way to get the light without the nature sounds, and when she's going to sleep, the wolf sound creeps her out a bit.
