With a minimum of 3'' of foam insulation in its gasketed lid, 2'' of foam insulation in the body, and Igloo's Cool Riser elevated bottom technology, this cooler is built to hold in the cold for a minimum of seven days. Combining rugged, roto-molded construction, UV inhibitors, and reflective infrared technology, the Yukon Cold Locker is built to last.  More stable than rope handles, the Yukon's wide-grip, integrated handles accommodate large or gloved hands and double as tie-down loops. The versatile lid features a textured, non-skid working and standing surface and integrated fish measuring ruler.  An oversized tethered drain plug provides easy draining and cleaning, while the dual, reversible skid/anti-skid pads on the bottom switch to match your needs. Durable, yet flexible rubber latches with finger grips lock the lid down securely. Long lasting stainless steel hinges and hardware. Self-stopping integrated lid hinge. Rated 5 out of 5 by FANTASTIC COOLER!! I am a Disabled Veteran who enjoys camping. I needed a way to keep things cool for a long period of time I did MUCH research and decided on the Yukon. It was in my opinion better than the Yeti. Igloo has been trusted by my family for generations and the Yukon not only met my expectations but surpassed them! I received my Yukon 50 about a week ago. Unboxing it found a very well constructed Cooler it looks and feels like it is one piece. The drain plug is designed so that it is easy to use and drains very quickly. I tested this cooler for five days and even after five days the ice was still almost full and the contents ice cold, I have had several coolers over the years but nothing to compare to the YUKON!!! I am a VERY HAPPY CAMPER!!!! April 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 Hands down best cooler ever I got this cooler after researching all options and hearing my Father and Brother talk about a Yeti. After seeing a Yeti and looking at all its flaws such as a small drain plug and handles that could rip I wanted a cooler that fixed this and I found it with the Igloo Yukon. The molded handles are built tough. I know they will not give out of me when I am carrying a full load. I also love the oversize drain plug for easy draining. I no longer need to wait or tip my cooler to drain out the old water. This baby is perfect. I took it out to the deer lease to put this head to head with my family’s cooler and to be honest the Yukon held ice longer and kept the meat and beer colder by almost 2 days. Its rugged tough design has made me a fully believer and I am a lifelong fan. As you all know Igloo is made in the USA and is a brand we have come to trust growing up. If you are in the market for a new cooler and want one that will last a life time I suggest you buy this Igloo Yukon. Like I said previously I have tested this against the others and now my family is asking to borrow my cooler when we go out April 1, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Yeti Killer I have three Yukons total. 1 70 and 2 of the 50s here. They are the best coolers I have ever owned. Even better than my Yeti. I am saving a lot of money on ice. The drain plug is huge. It drains so fast. And I love the sturdy handles and reversible feet. Overall great product. Only downside is weight. Where's the wheeled cooler Igloo? LOL December 5, 2012
