Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Product I have'nt fished a certain lake lately,so I decided to give it a try. The fishing here was'nt very good in the past, but I purchased the hydrowave for my new Nitro bass boat. After I turned it on it was'nt long I was catching bass. I wish I had bought it alot sooner. Rated 3 out of 5 by The Jury is still out on this product! Does this Fish sound device help my fish catching abilities? Well, I will say it does not hurt them, but I am still not sure how much the Shad and Minnow sounds produced positively affect my bite. I fish almost daily and have used this product 30+ times now and would say it has not helped the bite very much for bass and stripers . I so wished it would attract all the BIG FISH my way but it is just not so. I do like the 6 sound features and it is easy to use. Better instructions on "how to utilize" in various fishing scenario's would be very helpful also. August 26, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by hydrowave Used my new unit twice during post spawn I noticed that its easy to excite bait in area and that most fish were caught when it was on - i'll keep experimenting - but i will likely run it most of the time using the different settings. It is very easy to use I would recommend one - no sense being without one! June 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Really great investment We fish lake Ashby in florida and its a hit and miss fishing there and I fish the lake 3 to 4 times a week. Now since we been using the freshwater hydrowave we have had more bites and catches than our normal trips of fishing. We even had few bites and catches of crappie(specs). I was first cautious of purchasing the hydrowave thinking what another gimmick to waste money on, but it was worth a try and a well name sportman like KVD to put his reputation on the line I knew it would be well worth the money spent. I encourage all that can get the hydrowave to buy it. January 28, 2013

A:
The difference between the units is that the KVD Signature Series HydroWave Package also includes six KVD Exclusive sound loops: Power Pattern; Feeding Frenzy; Delayed Schools; Finesse Fishing; Ultra Finesse; and Schooling Blitz. Otherwise, they are the same unit.

A:
The hydrowave does run off the battery in your boat, so yes, it's wired underneath the front deck. But it's really quite simple to install.

Installation of the HydroWave is simply hooking up the unit to an accessory power source on your boat and plugging in the speaker. There are no complex electrical or mechanical installation requirements.

We have some friends that had purchased the biosonix package before we purchased the hydrowave. The only difference I can see is the appearance of the products and the significant price difference.
