Barrel clips broke the first time trying to snap them to barrel. Both the 12 ga. & 20 ga. clips. As far as a gun rest, worked OK. It was really helpful to my wife, but as far as for me, took it off. If you hunt from a blind, just use a shooting stick. If you hunt from the ground as I do, use a knee pad rest.

When I first saw/installed this product I was very impressed with the design. Well my initial positive impression did not last long. Took it the range to pattern my turkey gun. After five shots of 3.5" shells the V-pod legs completely fell apart. I can only assume this happened due to the recoil. I will say that up, until the legs broke the V-pod was very stable. Anyway i'm glad Bass Pro allowed me to return this product with no issues.

Although I have not used this gun rest yet, I find it easy to assemble to your gun of choice. I will be 70 years old this year, so I am always looking for items which will help me to shoot better. Last few years I have been hunting turkey and deer from a portable tent and I found that I needed to brace my gun better within this scenario. This seems to be the product to help me, as when you are sitting within the tent, your at about 18" to 2 feet looking out of the tent's opening. I have most of the other aiming devices, but they are too high for this scenario. Delivery was prompt and the product was priced fairly and construction looks rugged enough for what I want.

Out of the package it will not. You would need to make an adapter to mount to the base of the forearm.A:Â
I don't think so.A:Â
No, it has a rounded tube for connecting to shotgun barrels onlyTop 500 Contributor

Yes. But the barrel clips break very easy.A:Â
Yes.A:Â
it sticks out about 2inches farther then my barrel is longA:Â
Yes, It does fold up parallel to the barrel. I wouldn't advise shooting with the shooting stick in the folded up position, especially if you have a shorter barrel. It will stick out in front of the muzzle approx. 6"-2". Hope this helps!Q:Â

I have a .50 caliber muzzleloader that i use for deer hunting. would this work for that?

A:Â
If you have a round barrel, probably.A:Â
I believe so as .50 cal. is a 12 gauge; I certainly plan to use during muzzle loader season. Device fits 12 and 20 gauge guns.A:Â
dont think so but u could allways return itA:Â
I doubt that it would work, but you could always try it and see, and if it doesn't send it back, but I would assume that you need to use those shooting sticks or something where all you have to do is just set your gun on it and not fasten it to anything1 of 1
