The 2.5 is the best call I have used. I have tried everything on the market and have always gone back to this call. I have never called in a turkey with any other mouth call. The one side of the reed gives me some rasp with great cutting while the other side provides me the ability to soft purr or putt as necessary. It relieves me of the hassle of changing calls as the Tom approaches. They are very durable! I trim the back of my calls to reduce the urge to gag or to tickle my upper mouth. If mouth calls make you gag, try trimming yours' a little. This is always a problem for me early in the season but by my second week of calling that problem is gone.
Try this call. You won't be disappointed. I have turned several of my hunting buddies on to this call and they all use it to this day. Those that never worked hard enough to get the knack of mouth calls usually ask me to hunt with them so I can use those soft purrs to help them close the deal. After all, who wants to take there hands off their gun and their eye off the target to fish for a friction call.
Good hunting!
