Rated 4 out of 5 by Seems like it could help ive just put it on my gun seems good. cant wait till next spring so i get to use it June 25, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Rock solid thanks to the V-Pod This unti is so easy to use. Solid hold no tipping or extra movement due to the split at the bottom of the shaft, My 13 yr old daughter was solid as a rock when the bird came in. The swivel feature and the way it connects to the barrel makes this the best shootting stick i have ever used. April 30, 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by Jury is still out... I have only used this 2-3 mornings and haven't had bird come in to truly test it out. What I don't like is the fact that it sticks out about 4" from the end of the barrel, adds some weight to the gun, and is a little wobbly. I put camo tape on the legs to break up the black color. Rated 5 out of 5 by V-Pod durable, easy to use, very satisfactory. The V-Pod stand makes sitting and waiting on a turkey much easier and let's me focus more on the bird than my gun. May 13, 2009

Use Remington 700 for deer hunting. Have tried monopods and bipods and am not happy with results.

A:
I would not recommend using the shooting rest during hunting. It is designed for target shooting and sighting in your rifle.

Out of the package it will not. You would need to make an adapter to mount to the base of the forearm.

Yes, It does fold up parallel to the barrel. I wouldn't advise shooting with the shooting stick in the folded up position, especially if you have a shorter barrel. It will stick out in front of the muzzle approx. 6"-2". Hope this helps!

I believe so as .50 cal. is a 12 gauge; I certainly plan to use during muzzle loader season. Device fits 12 and 20 gauge guns.

I doubt that it would work, but you could always try it and see, and if it doesn't send it back, but I would assume that you need to use those shooting sticks or something where all you have to do is just set your gun on it and not fasten it to anything
