I bought this choke tube about 2 weeks before turkey season and it shoots great on my mossberg 500. At 35 yards I had 90 % of my pellets in my 15 x 15 inch target. This choke tube would be good for any long shots taken. This is a great choke by HS and I recommend it to any turkey hunter.

I purchased this for my 12g supernova. It fit slightly tighter than the factory chokes (which freespin into the barrel) but the non threaded part fit, and the threads required finger pressure to turn. I patterned it, about 15 shots using 3 and 3.5 inch #4 and #5 lead turkey loads. Patterns were average at 40 years at best.
However...when I tried to remove the choke it was extremely tight - as if something was between the choke and the barrel. I was able to remove it by unthreading it's entire length listening to horrible grinding noises the entire time. I cleaned the bore, tried the factory choke again - free spinning zero friction. The HS choke wouldn't even go back past the middle of the smooth bore part. My suspicion is that is slightly deformed from the shot string, taking it out of spec. Needless to say - I wasn't going to force it in and use it again and risk damaging my threads. Will be returned. The metal cannot take normal shot stresses.

I bought this tube for my new Mossberg 535. It made my 26" barrel about 27", but that doesn't really bother me as long as it performs well, which it does. when patterning with #4, at 30yds I shot a soda can in half with one shot.

worked excellent, after a couple misses and close calls this has changed my pattern and turkeys had better watch out now...
