I bought this to replace the one which came with my Depth finder .Trolling mount fit lower and was less apt to hang up or get knocked off the trolling motor. It performed very well over the structure and fish. Has good temp monitoring. Delivery was fast.

I bought my boat used, and the previous owner had just installed one of these. However, he install it with the trolling motor down. When you cradle it for transport, the wire pinched and ruined the transducer. Make sure to check where the cable lays!

Installed as per instructions and the first time it went in the water it worked right away.
Had to add a number of tie wraps to make it a clean installation, as only three were provided.
Just make sure when you install it that you allow slack for folding the motor...

I purchased this Humminbird trolling motor transducer to replace one that I had damaged by hitting a stump. Very simple to install and it was truly "plug and play". Highly recommended!

So I went to humminbirds website and found the trolling motor transducer needed for my 565. It lists XTM 9 20 T as the part needed. I searched it at bass pro because I would like to get it today. Bass Pro lists the item as a 53 deg / 24 deg, but humminbird lists it as a 20 / 60 deg transducer. Are these the same or is there an advantage to one over the other?Answers

This unit is made to fit on Trolling Motors. The transducer that comes with the Fish Finder that we offer will come with a Transom Mount Transducer and should not break. If your transducer has a Kick-Up feature, it will prevent damage if the transducer strikes an object. ThanksAnswers
