Quickly find the fish swimming under the ice with the Humminbird ICE-45 Portable Flasher. The ice flasher for serious ice anglers, the powerful ICE-45 Flasher offers the utmost in on-ice performance with 4 manual/7 auto depth scales, easy-to-read 3-color fiber-optic display, and dual-beam versatility for incredible coverage and detail.
This is a very nice unit but limited to ice fishing. I purchased it as my first flasher and after a couple days of use returned it for the Ice-385ci Combo as that makes a more economical purchase for me. I really did like the auto bottom lock feature but for $50 more and you get all the features plus more with the 385ci. i give it a 4/5 for being a flasher but now ill be able to use my new one all year round!

Proceed with cation...
This is a long read, but if you are looking to spend $500 on a flasher it is well worth a couple minutes of your time.
I have owned this unit for three seasons now and it has been a fair product at best. I'm not sure where these 5 star ratings are coming from...
The ICE series flashers have the best user interface of all the ice flashers out there. The large backlit LCD screen and digital depth readout is awesome. The auto depth feature works great.
The object separation is not very good... especially in water over 25ft. It is hard to see your bait at times and constantly need to be adjusted. As for the transducer support cable, throw it away immediately. If it isn't adjusted right it holds your transducer at an angle so it points off into no mans land.
The deal breaker...
I ended up breaking the top knob (gain knob) on my flasher and it was out of warranty, so I wanted to fix it myself. So I opened it up and found it was a simple fix. It was a broken potentiometer (a $5 part), so this $5 part, a soldering iron, and 30min would fix this...I contacted Humminbird support to get this part and it turns out that this $5 potentiometer is an "in house only part" so they will not send it to me. The only way to fix it is to send it to Humminbird, and there is a minimum charge of $110.95 if you send in any Humminbird product to get fixed. No way of getting around this, believe me I tried. So I tried to find the part myself and it turns out that it was specially made for Humminbird and they won't sell it to third parties.
I'm trying not to sound to bitter about this product, but even if I had not broke the knob off and didn't have to deal with there poor customer service, I would still have to (highly) recommended a different flasher. They have nicest screen, but when it comes down to graphing/plotting fish the FL-20 (any of the FL series for that matter) beats it hands down.
THANKS FOR READING!!!

Will the fish bite?
I love the fishing flasher, It does everything that I wanted it to. I can now find plenty of fish--but getting them to bite is something else--do you have a product for that?Caught my limit many times when I was icefishing--now fishermen follow me whever I go.

Although the sonar part of an ICE Flasher Series™ Fishfinder works in the same way as any other humminbird® control head, the return signal is displayed differently. The ICE Flasher Series™ LCD is modeled on the original analog displays and represents what is happening below the transducer the moment it happens. The Flasher Dial displays a multicolor palette indicating low to high sonar intensity returns, where red indicates high intensity and green indicates low intensity. See Color Palettes for more information. When fish swim into the area below the transducer, the new sonar return signal is immediately displayed on the Flasher Dial. Depending on the size of the fish and its closeness to the transducer, the sonar return will be displayed as a weak, medium, or strong sonar signal. In the above example, the sonar return signal from the jig is displayed as a weak signal (green), the fish is displayed as a medium signal (yellow), and the bottom composition is displayed as a strong signal (red). When the fish swims towards your jig, you can see the activity instantly on your Flasher Dial. Also, the Active Display shows that the ICE 45/55 Flasher is reading the depth of 18.3 feet to the bottom.
