Iced fish a pond with three buddy's one day and caught nine fish...got this toy in the mail that night went back and redrilled the same hole and lost count after 50! No joke this thing will help you catch fish by ten fold. Very easy to read, works great in bright sunlight, has a nice demo mode, battery life lasts alot longer than the average fishing trip, great zoom feature, and did I mention this thing will put fish on the ice! I read reviews for this and thought they were a little far fetched but their true..like I said when we went the first day we only caught a couple of fish in about 12 feet of water fishing around 10-11 feet but when I came back tue next day all the fish lit up the sonar at 6-7 feet and couldn't keep two poles in the water. Also, you can see how fish react to your presentation because of how fast this sonar responds..I highly recommend this sonar PERIOD!

If you crank up the gain on these it will pick up two lb. Test through the water..it would have nonproblem picking up a jig that size..I bet it would if it were in 150 feet of water. These are nice units! Hope this helps;)A:Â
Yes, Just need to crank up the gain a little bit.A:Â
I have had the unit on the ice 6 times now. It has been outstanding. My buddys are all Vex users, and i would take the bird handsdown. To answer your question, you can pick up a jig in 40 plus no prob. And if you did have any trouble switch the beam to 9. We were vert jigging and the big fiber optic screen showed eveything perfect. You will be very happ with the unit. Have a good one.1 of 1
