I don't know why Hummingbird doesn't just include a cover with the unit. Ray Marine includes covers with their electronics...
This one fits well and dresses out the finder- It protects the screen from the sun in Florida when the unit is not in use.

There isn't a lot you can say about a plastic cover. If you're like me, I take my fish finding units off the boat everytime I get home and store them inside. This offers good piece of mind. The cover fits snugly and I don't have to worry about scratching the screen any longer when I pack it away. It's also handy on bright, sun-filled days to cover the unit in order to protect it from direct light for too long. Give one a try.
