I've had this unit a little over a year - no problems whatsoever. I don't have the money for SI, but the gps & sonar work really well and have a lot of higher end features. Good unit for the price. Am looking to get a RAM mount for it now - any suggestions?? Manual really helps for beginner to gps.

I bought a 797c2 last year from BPS. I used it a total of 5 times. Today, It totally does not work(unit does not power up). HB says it's $250 to "take a look at it"!!
What a disappointment!
Look elsewhere.

Does not support metric units nor spanish language, unbelievable this days!, you must purchase the metric units equipment in another country higly over priced, around $300 usd more, besides, it does not support side imaging nor down imaging for almos the same price on comparable products.
Another bad thing is that does not support mini usb pc connection for waypoint management.
I am returning mine immediately.

This is a good unit but for the same price you can get a 788ci HD DI unit di stands for down imaging.Way better unit.

Yes this unit may be dash mounted. Additional mounting hardware will be required to complete this installation though. Check the Humminbird website for more information on dash mount hardware.
