Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Value For the price, this unit packs in a lot of features. I agree with one other review that stated sallow water the screen is very busy but you can make out bottom. Anything more than 15' is good. GPS is well worth the 300 dollars. I again agree why would they not put a paper manual with this unit but once you get used to it you will be happy with it. Rated 3 out of 5 by Hard to learn how to use Why In the world Humminbird cant put a paper back manuel with this product. I dont have a laptop to take to lake to learn how to use this thing. June 24, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Finder I picked this up a few weeks and so far can't complain. The side imaging feature took a bit of playing with to finally getting working to what I think is appropriate. I think the major problem is I primarily fish in shallow water (6-7 feet) which didnt seem to scan properly. Deeper water around 12 to 20 looks great, wish I could see something other than just the bottom. My cheaper unit on the bow seems to pick up all kinds of fish which this unit doesn't, but neither does my hook. Granted everyone has a computer, but I like paper. Wish the unit would come with a paper manual rather than a cd. I typically don't take my laptop out on the boat fishing. Having the book would be nice to figure out all the features. The menus are pretty straight forward and you shouldn't have any issues. I was concerned about the display in direct sunlight but I see it just fine. Overall a great unit and the gps works great. The maps built in are very basic but even the smallest ponds I fish are on there. May 3, 2013
