poor planning Please be aware that if you buy this product that it will not, I repeat will not hook up to most of humminbirds locators. I purchased this with a humminbird 1199ci spending nearly $4000 and it won't hook up without an adaptor cable that humminbird doesn't even have in stock. You would think they could include a $30 dollar cable. Make sure you find the cable first or you will have a $1500 worthless tranducer hanging on your trolling motor. April 8, 2014
This is GREAT I have had this on my boat now for about two weeks and I really like this unit. What I like about this is being able to see all around your boat. It makes it very easy to follow weed lines and drop offs. The best part is you can be anchored and it still refreshes the data. I had 1 software issue that I think is now taken care of. the issue was when running the 360 and 2 sonar units connected to the 5 port Ethernet switch. June 14, 2014
Ridiculous installation I don't think any of the design team at Humminbird own a boat, let alone ever done any installations. The 15 ft cable on the unit has a male fitting that will only attach to the included 20 ft extension cable. The extension cable has 2 female ends so don't think you can reduce the amount of cable by omitting it. Neither cable attaches to a new Humminbird control head because Humminbird has changed the Ethernet ports on the new units and the adapter is NOT included. $30 plus shipping. Naturally there is no warning on the box for this. The 360 has it's own GPS antenna to mount even though the tech at Humminbird says it pulls GPS information from the control head and he could not explain the need for it but he also strongly recommended installing it. The unit has a quick release clamp that is easy to operate if a person wanted to remove the unit for security and/or transport but all that extra cable makes it impossible for quick removal and installation unless you like having a cluttered fishing deck. Mine gets bad enough with rods and lures. I hope all this aggravation is worth it if I ever get to use it on the lake. If the Bass Pro Shop wasn't a 2.5 hour drive I would have returned it and the new 899 I bought to go with it. Well...maybe not the 899... September 26, 2014
