Rated 5 out of 5Â by OkBasser Great product
This is a great product as long as you don't expect features that the 800 dollar units have. I use this on the transom of my 8ft air boat like previous owners state be safe and tie a safety line. Yes it does pop up if you are trolling really fast but you would not catch anything at that speed in a small lake anyways. Shows accurately where the fish are and really helps in catching them. I found the screen really easy to view and all around good choice for close in fishing for a portable device. Worked for ice fishing too. 2 years of use more than a100 hours no problems. Take extra batteries for weekend trips.

I was initially very pleased with this fishfinder...worked perfectly with my bass buggy; however, after about 1 year, just quit working. No power even when changing batteries multiple times.....and I did not abuse this product.

Great little fishfinder, so far it has worked above my expectations.

I have an inflatable boat 10' and thought this would be a good product to mount on the transom, WRONG. During very slow trolling the unit would pop out of the mounting C-Clamp and would vibrate back an fourth. This product is totaly unsuitable for moving water vessels. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

According to Humminbird "Remove the Fishin´ Buddy® from the mounting bracket support arm ring when theboat is traveling. Use the Fishin´ Buddy® at trolling speed only. Traveling at high speed with the
Fishin´ Buddy® attached can cause damage to this device."

Picture shows 120 head. Is the only difference the shaft length or does the 140 come with a deferent head than what is shown in the picture? I want the better model head but only need a short shaft so I don't need to pay extra if shaft length is the only difference.Answers

Same style of head but the 140c is the color unit and 120 is not color.Details:Â
I recently bought a 9' Pond Prowler, which is plastic. When I put this fish finder on the side of the boat, it indented the plastic and made the unit go in at an angle into the water. Is there some type of bracket that can be used to make the side of the boat stronger, so this unit doesn't make scratches, etc. on the side of the boat?Answers
